Cancer Directorate

Cancer Directorate

St. Vincent’s stands as a centre of excellence for cancer care, holding the distinction of being one of eight nationally designated adult cancer centres. Additionally, it is the nationally designated centre for neuroendocrine tumours (NET), pancreatic cancer, and sarcoma. The hospital is a major provider of care for patients with breast, prostate, colorectal, lung, and gynaecological cancers, and is one of three adult stem cell transplant centres in the country.

The Cancer Centre Directorate, led by the Clinical Director, is the Leadership Team responsible for implementing the Cancer Strategic Plan, the Strategic Cancer Research Plan, and the OECI Cancer Centre Accreditation programme. Reporting to the Cancer Centre Board through the Clinical Director, the Directorate provides an annual report covering all activities at the Cancer Centre.
